Daniel Bryan Says WWE Has Banned Footage Of Him Wrestling

While promoting the Total Bellas show, Daniel Bryan did a Q&A on YouTube, where he was asked why his wife, Brie Bella, didn’t upload video of her training for her in-ring return, which she had promised upon reaching 800,000 YouTube subscribers.

As it turns out, Brie did record a video of her training for her in-ring return, but WWE prohibited her from posting it. Why? Because Bryan was training with her in the video, and WWE doesn’t want to show footage of the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion doing anything physical in the ring.

“I actually did do some [training] and they weren’t allowed to be shown,” Bryan said. “I did what everyone asked, I did it for 800,000 (Youtube followers), and it wasn’t allowed to be aired, because they’re not allowed to show me doing anything wrestling-wise.”

John Cena On Missing Monday’s Raw, WrestleMania, And His ‘Never Give Up’ Catchphrase

Former 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena recently did an interview with SCMP, where he talked about missing Monday’s Raw, the possibility of WWE bringing WrestleMania to China, and he explained why his “Never Give Up” catchphrase is more than just a marketing tool.

Cena on working WWE live events and missing Monday’s Raw:

“I will literally spend more time in a fuselage than I will on the ground here, that’s how important this trip was to me. I was initially supposed to miss this event, and I bent time to be here. This is taking priority above a lot of things, including me being in the air the entire day on Monday, so you can do the maths to see how important this is.”

Cena on WWE possibly bringing WrestleMania to China:

“I think the possibilities are endless. Absolutely endless. Not only do I see potential success for Chinese superstars to move through the ranks, I envision a world where we do television broadcasts from over here. I envision a world where we do WrestleMania from here. So I would love to create a culture in China surrounding WWE, that’s with a strong developmental system for our superstars and hopefully a greater and greater live event presence. We encourage our audience to be in it and involved as they want. That culture is what really is going to drive our increased presence here. I hope I can encourage the crowd here to be … respectfully excited.”

Cena on why his “Never Give Up” catchphrase is more than just a marketing tool:

“It’s not something that I try to force people to understand. Those three words are led by example and led by action.

“It’s a great feeling to be able to check in and go to work and aside from calling it your job, to be able to affect people’s lives. If I can do both, I’m a super happy dude. I think the more fans in China that resonate with the WWE product, the more will like me and the more won’t like me. It’s the same everywhere.”

Kairi Sane On Winning The Mae Young Classic, Projecting Her Aura To The Fans, More

– Kairi Sane recently spoke with Rolling Stone after winning WWE’s Mae Young Classic last week, check out the highlights below:

You feeling OK after taking all those bumps throughout the tournament?

Thank you for your concern. Yes, there’s been some damage to my body, but I’m fine. I’m thrilled to be here.

You’ve done so much tag-team wrestling in Japan. Are you a more confident singles competitor after this experience?

Yes, it affected me greatly. There were 32 athletes competing from worldwide, and I was doing as many as three [matches] a day, and I have to say I was proud of myself that I could participate. It was such a big deal.

When you started wrestling, were Mae Young and other American women wrestlers on your radar? If not, who?

I’ve known of Mae Young from the beginning, and I was so proud participating in a tournament with her name in it. Even when I was living in Japan, I thought athletes like Mae Young were powerful and attractive and charming. There was always something attractive with those women.

Then it makes sense, especially since you came to wrestling as an aspiring actress, that you would aim to project a complete aura in the ring.

It’s very important to me that I give my vitality and courage to my audiences. I was the shortest [Mae Young competitor], as you know, but I won like this and just want to give the impression to everybody that you don’t have to give up on your dream. I want all women to know that women are strong, and the women’s revolution in WWE is very important to me.
