1.  The New Day defeated the Usos to retain the tag team championship.

2.  Bobby Roode pinned Aiden English after the Glorious DDT.

3.  Breezango and Chad Gable defeated the Ascension and Mike Kanellis.

4.  Randy Orton defeated Rusev in a Last Man Standing Match.

5.  Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Naomi defeated Natalya, Lana, and Tamina in a 6-woman tag match.

6.  AJ Styles defeated Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, and Ty Dillinger in a 4-way match for the US title when Corbin submitted to the calf crusher.

7.  Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the WWE championship after some minor interference by the Singh brothers.

The Canton Civic Center was about 2/3 full.  This was their second trip to Canton this year – the Raw brand was here in January.  I was really impressed at how much time each of the faces spent with the fans on the way back up the ramp after the matches.

Thank you #WWECanton !!!

Update: WWE Hell in a Cell Betting Odds Shift In Title Match

wwe hell in a cell

As we noted yesterday, the early betting odds for WWE Hell in a Cell were released, and they predicted one title change for tonight’s event.

Charlotte Flair was favored, and as of this writing is still favored, to win the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title match against Natalya.

Paddy Power has since updated the betting odds for WWE Hell in a Cell tonight, and everything is consistent with yesterday, with the exception of one match – the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Title bout featuring The New Day vs The Usos.

Yesterday, Paddy Power had the match at even odds, 5/6, and today The Usos are favored to win the bout at 1/4 odds compared to New Day’s 5/2 odds.

As a reminder, fractional betting odds mean that the number to the right is what you would have to bet to win the number on the left.

Jim Cornette and Santino Marella Involved in Verbal Altercation in Detroit

Former WWE star Santino Marella, who has a storied past with Jim Cornette, was involved in a verbal altercation with Cornette at an XICW Cobo Legends event which took place yesterday at Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

You can check out footage of the incident below.

Cornette later addressed the issue with the Tweet posted below the video.

For those unaware, there is bad blood between Cornette and Marella, as Cornette ran Ohio Valley Wrestling back in 2015, when Santino was still training. An incident took place back then during which Cornette slapped Marella, which lead to Cornette’s firing from OVW:

Sorry to anyone I missed at Cobo, some comedy midget wanted me to slap him AGAIN so he could sue since he’s unemployed. Walked out instead. https://t.co/ezgCj7mqLV

Natalya On Making WWE History Tonight, Her Match Against Charlotte, Carmella Cashing In

Natalya
Credit: YouTube.com

– WWE Superstar Natalya recently participated in a interview with with M Live to help promote her upcoming match against Charlotte at tonight’s Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, check out the highlights below:

On breaking two records in tonight’s match against Charlotte:

“It’s a huge match. Charlotte and I have a storied history. This Sunday, we’re going to be making history by being the first women in WWE to be competing for four different championships. No other women in the company have ever done this.”

“We’ve competed for the NXT Women’s Championship, the Diva’s Championship, the RAW Women’s Championship and now the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship.”
“At ‘Hell in a Cell,’ I will actually beat Trish Stratus’ record for having the most pay-per-view matches of any women in WWE history.”

Update: WWE Hell in a Cell Betting Odds Shift In Title Match

On battling Charlotte at Hell in a Cell:

“I think about all of the incredible women I’ve competed against and I would put Charlotte Flair on top of the list of my favorite opponents. At the same time, the tables have turned. In the past, Charlotte was always the ‘bad guy’ facing me and was always the champion. Now she’s turned over a new leaf and the tables have turned. I’m the champion. It’s my house. It’s going to be interesting to see her prove to herself and to the entire WWE universe that she can hang with me. There’s probably no other women in this industry I respect more than Charlotte, but she’s going to have to show me why she’s fit to be champion.”

On Carmella possibly cashing in:

“Charlotte is not taking my SmackDown Live Women’s Championship and neither is Carmella. If Carmella even gets close to me, I promise you I’ll be putting her and James Ellsworth in the sharpshooter at the same time.”
